Members' Roll of Arms

Many of the members of the Heraldry Society are armigerous, ie. they have a coat of arms. This gives us an opportunity to introduce you to the wide range of designs and styles that are used for modern, and ancient, heraldry. The arms are organised by the member’s surname.

Gules, a chalice Or, issuing from it a host Argent, charged with a cross of the first, between three eight-pointed stars in the Māori fashion quarter-pierced (alternatively blazoned as crosses chappée quarter-pierced) argent, on a chief of the third, a crosier bendwise of the first between two pōhutukawa [Metrosideros excelsa] flowers proper.
Crest
No crest or helm, instead a Clerical Galero Sable with three red tassels hanging from black cords is used to denote the armiger’s position as a canon of the Anglican Church.

Badge: Between two oak branches conjoined in base leaved and fructed a common puffin erect with dexter leg raised holding in its beak the dexter branch proper and the said badge to descend with the undifferenced arms.
Herald: Mr. Donal Burke.
It should be noted that per the Herald I use a label of three points and my son a label of five even though the grant is in my name. This is because I had the phrase "and all other descendants of his father" included, therefore the undifferenced arms belong to my father. I however, wanted to use the artwork from the Grant.
